A water fight between children sparked a confrontation that left a 22-year-old man in hospital according to police, who are appealing for information about the incident earlier this month.
The victim was hit over the head with a glass bottle during an argument between two groups of men on Polecroft Lane in Perry Vale on June 8 at around 10pm.
The men disagreed about whether a group of children who had a water fight earlier that evening should have been told off after splashing some people walking past.
The victim’s condition is currently stable.
Police are trying to identify three men they believe are suspects. The first is black, in his late twenties and approximately 6ft. He has a beard, short hair and was wearing a black jacket with a zip and collar. The second is black, in his teens and has a slim build. He has a ponytail and was wearing a dark tracksuit. The final suspect is black, in his late twenties and has short hair.
Police are urging anyone with information to call DS Pete Campbell on 0208 284 8468 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
