This year the organisers of Crystal Palace International Film Festival (CPIFF) are searching for a poster girl. The campaign will see a 1950s inspired poster, designed in classic film noir style, against a backdrop of Crystal Palace landmarks.

Could you be the face they’re looking for? Festival director, Roberta Gallinari gave Eastlondonlines the brief: “We’re looking for a female aged 20-35 to carry off a cool 50s style with a modern twist.”

She explains: “We also intend to create posters for specific nights continuing the 1950s theme, with monster movie styles from the era for our Horror/Sci-fi night. All photos will be taken in recognised places in Crystal Palace.”

The chosen face will work with local photographer David Boyes, who has photographed celebrities such as Kate Moss and Katie Holmes.

The festival, in its fifth year, provides independent filmmakers from across the world a platform to showcase their work in Crystal Palace. The judging panel consists of comedians Johnny Vegas, Mark Steel and Neville Astley, creator of the popular children’s show Peppa Pig.

To enter the search send a photo to Roberta@cpiff.co.uk with ‘casting call’ in the subject field before the deadline (Friday, August 8).
