Just 30 metres below Whitechapel, a new station is being built as part of Crossrail. Crossrail is a 25 billion dollar plan which will comprise of 73 miles of track and 26 miles of tunnel. The track will run from Reading and Heathrow in the west, under London, to Abbey Wood and Shenfield in the east.
