Broadway Market was named one of London’s hottest food and drink spots. Time Out called it ‘the food-loving hipster's weekend hangout of choice.’ Broadway Market caters to the big foodies and the people who just want to chill with a cold beer and indie music. The market is known for it vintage and new designer trends and crafts. Time/Date: 4pm - 11pm all week Place: Hackney, London Fields park to Regent’s canal, E8 4PH Queen of Hoxton rooftop is just the place to be if you want to enjoy a cool breeze and watch the sunset. The Evening Standard listed it as its number one best rooftop bar. The Queen of Hoxton is running a number of music gigs this month from gospel to electro-funk. And, this is random, they offer weekly ukulele jams for beginners and aficionados. Time/Date: 4pm – 12am weekdays, 4pm – 2am Thursday to Saturday. Closed Sunday Place: Hackney, 1 Curtain Road, EC2A 3JX After bagging the Edinburgh Comedy awards, appearing on ITV’s Comedy Cuts and BBC’s11O’Clock Show, Burns has taken his show to the street – to the coffee shops, burrito bars and libraries in his Outside the Box comedy tour. He will be at the Cereal Café in Brick Lane this Friday. Time/Date: 8pm, April 16-18 Place: Cereal Café, Tower Hamlets, 139 Brick Lane The Old Spitalfields Market, known for its display of fashion, vintage and vinyl records, has two theme markets this weekend. One is for new designers to display their craft. BA and MA design students can book stalls half price! The second is a pop-up vintage market this weekend. Time/Date: 11am-5pm, April 18. Place: Old Spitalfields Market, 16 Horner Square Model Market is transforming Lewisham High Street into a festival of music, dining and fun. Follow #ModelMarket to know more about bands, food stalls and more. Time/Date: all day April 17-25 Place: 196 Lewisham High Street Do you think you're hilarious? Comedian Harry Denford may burst your bubble. He offers standup comedy courses for beginners to learn the subtle art of funny. Or you can come watch a variety of comedians perform this month. Time/Date: 8pm April 14-21 Place: 443 New Cross Road Comedy night with Jack Whitehall Whitehall's been dubbed 'King of Comedy' in 2012, 2013 and 2014 British Comedy Awards. That's how funny he is. Don't miss him perform the Bloomsbury Theatre in Croydon. Time/Date: 7:30pm April 17 Place: Park Lane, Croydon The Crystal Palace Food Market won the Time Out awards last year for being one of the more unique street food venues out there. It boasts that its food is both organic and biodynamic. Err we had to google biodynamic too. But it's all good, hearty, fresh food and they got fantastic beers and wines.
