Public consultation on plans for a partnership between Croydon Council and Croydon Health Service NHS Trust closes tomorrow, Wednesday January 27 at 5pm. Local people and community organisations are being canvassed for their views on the proposals which would see Croydon Council and the NHS Trust pooling some health-related budgets and resources.

The aim is to improve the quality of services for Croydon residents and facilities across the NHS and provide ‘joined-up’ health care in three main areas: sexual health, health visiting and nursing services and immunisations.

Croydon Council would continue to have overall accountability for public health and the council will take the lead on school immunisations from April 2016.

Local people wanting to voice their opinions should go to the online consultation link at https://getinvolved.croydon.gov.uk/KMS/DMart.aspx

The results will be available in the spring.
