The Metropolitan Police have released CCTV footage of two men they wish to speak to in connection with the stabbing of a man in Hackney in December.

The 19-year-old man was stabbed in the face and neck on December 5 after the men forced him down an alleyway while he was riding a hoverboard.

Doctors said: “It can only have been good luck that prevented critical injury to the jugular vein.” The man has since been discharged.

The attack took place on Rookwood Road in Stamford Hill, at around 15:45hrs.

Hackney CID are keeping an open mind with regard to motive.

The suspects are described as aged in their late teens or early 20’s, average height and one of the pair is believed to be black and the other Asian.

Police are appealing for anybody who recognises the two men in the footage or any witnesses to come forward and contact Hackney CID via 101, or to call anonymously contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
