  • BREATHE: Celebration of air for little ones

Featuring performances and collaborations from artists, musicians, dancers and storytellers responding to the themes of breath, wind & air, and to the sound of the harp.
Vox Tots and Vox Tots Babying follows the airy theme with
 songs, an experience of VOX the wind harp installation, and bubbles! Let the little ones run free to explore sound & colour.

  • A Space Outside Your Mind

A pop-up art show featuring the work of seven new artists: Debbie Chessell, Karen Dear, Faye Gal Harries, Caitlin Hazell, Poppy Dodgson, Caitlin Newman and Ant Stevens. Features sculptures, interactive exhibitions and performances. Get a bit of culture into your weekend!

  • Fascinating historical Almshouse tour

This fascinating restoration of a 1714 almshouse allows visitors to see the living conditions of poor pensioners in the 18th and 19th centuries and compare these sparse furnishings and few personal possessions of the generally poor elderly residents with the more comfortable surroundings of the better-off pensioners of the late 19th century.

Date: Saturday March 5 and Tuesday March 8

  • Women's Day Film Screening of Becoming Jane

Downham Library is celebrating International Women's Day with a showing of Becoming Jane, a dramatisation of the well-known author Jane Austen's life, staring Anne Hathaway, Julie Walters and Maggie Smith.

  • Smile acoustic - songs to make you think

  • Red Africa - a legacy of cultural relationships 

The Calvert 22 Foundation has launched 'Red Africa', a season long programme explores the legacy of the cultural relationships between Africa, the Soviet Union and related countries that flourished during the Cold War, including the 'Things Fall Apart' exhibition, film screenings, talks and events.
