Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which a motorcyclist died on Roman Road, Bow, on Saturday afternoon (April 30).
The motorcyclist in his early fifties, who has not been named, was fatally injured after colliding with a number eight bus around 2pm. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, which happened near the junction with Driffield Road.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said nobody on the bus was injured, adding: “Next of kin have been informed but formal identification is yet to take place.”
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course. Officers from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
