Newly released footage shows the moment a burglar injures his leg as he breaks into a Catford nursery.
The CCTV video released by the Metropolitan Police shows the burglar entering the back of Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery through a hole in the ceiling: his legs are shown hanging from the ceiling, and the scene that follows sees the man falling on the floor.
After what looks like a painful fall, the man is seen wriggling and wincing in pain for a while before continuing with his theft.
During the burglary, that took place on Thursday, April 14 just before 4am, three Apple iPad devices were stolen from the nursery on Bromley Road, according to police.
While there has been no arrest yet, the police are still investigating.
The suspect is thought to be a black man with short hair and a beard, who was reportedly wearing a zipped hoodie, tracksuit pants and light-coloured trainers at the time of the burglary.
Police are still looking for any information and want to hear from anyone who may recognise the man in the CCTV video or witnessed the event.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
