A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in Croydon last night (Friday October 9).
The man was found with a gunshot wound on Eastley Road, Croydon at 11.25pm when police and ambulance were called to the scene.
The emergency services and Met Police’s firearms officers rushed to the scene but the man was then declared dead.
An area near a block of flats near Croydon University Hospital has been cordoned off by police this morning.
The circumstances and causes of the death are still uncertain, and no arrest has been made.
