Candice Brown, winner of this year’s  Great British Bake-Off, will be starring in this year’s Foodies Festival in Shoreditch later this month.

At London’s Truman Brewery, Brown, 31, will give a 45-minute demonstration on how to make the perfect Christmas cake.

A three-day event, the festival is the UK’s largest celebration of festive food and drink. Festivalgoers will be able to participate in a number of culinary activities and attend Christmas food workshops held by recognized chefs from across the country.

There will also be a live entertainment stage with cooking classes for younger children.

The Bedfordshire baker won the competition last month. Brown was awarded Star Baker three times more than any other competitor. Brown is Bake-Off’s last winner before the programme moves from the BBC to Channel 4.

MasterChef winner Jane Devonshire will also be in attendance, as well as the Great British Menu’s Adam Simmonds and Made In Chelsea star, Jamie Laing.

Foodies Festival takes place from November 18-20. Tickets are available from foodiesfestival.com.
