A new free weekly craft and food market with live music will be coming to Deptford in April.

Deptford Bites organised by Eat Me Drink Me will take place in Deptford Market Yard every Saturday from April 7, running from 10am to 3pm.

Each week will feature a number of stalls selling street food, artisan produce and items from craft makers and designers.

The launch will feature traders including Celtic Bakers, Storytime Bakery, Marsh Farm Produce and The Fresh Fish Shop in addition to this there will be South Indian vegetarian food from Dosa Deli and Northern Thai cuisine from KraPow.

Eat Me Drink Me said: “We’ll be bringing together the best street food and produce traders that London has to offer, as well as a selection of craft stalls, with a focus on South East London makers & designer.”

“With live music every week it’s the perfect place to head down and grab a bite to eat or stock up your cupboards with fresh produce and speciality foods.”

At the launch event in April, there will be a talks and debate tent curated by The Guardian’s restaurant critic Grace Dent.

Throughout the year there is an aim to host special events alongside the market with the We Love Cheese festival already confirmed to be hosted on May 5.
