Police appeal for information after man stabbed in Shadwell

A 23-year-old man has been arrested for attempted murder after a stabbing incident in Shadwell last Friday.

One man, 23, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Detectives in Tower Hamlets are appealing for anyone with more information about the incident to come forward.

The Police were called to Cable Street, E1 at 5:56 pm after reports of a stabbing. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene and found the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds. The injured man was taken to an east London hospital where he was said to be in a non-life-threatening condition and is now recovering.

“We have made one arrest and continue to build a picture of the attack which unfolded. I would appeal to anyone who saw a confrontation in the area before the attack and anyone who witnessed people running from the scene after the stabbing to come forward. Your information could prove vital to our investigation,” said DC Megan Bushell from Tower Hamlets CID.
