About: Christmas fun for everyone @catfordfoodmarket where there will be street food, hand tied wreaths & bouqets and free kids crafts!  Join Charlotte Gainbury (@Huckelberri1) and Tamara Fraud (@mosaicallsorts) for splatter art, bauble and mosaics making.

Artist Open House - Pop Up Event

About: A festive open house pop-up showcasing work by local artists and designers of Art, Textiles, Jewellery, Floristry and Poetry.  There will be plenty of beautiful and unique items all available to buy.

The pop-up event is run by Handmade Collective London (@Handmade_LDN), a group of South East London designers, makers & artists who support local businesses and make everything handmade.

Hear it Live!

Where: Music Gallery, Horniman Museum and Gardens

About: The afternoon will showcase performances from Violist Jill Valentine and Clarinettist Jernej Albregt playing some true classics by Georg Philipp Telemann, W.A. Mozart and Charles Dancla.

Hear it Live is the perfect chance to broaden your knowledge of instruments too with talks on the musical instrument collection which includes a 1772 Kirckman Harpsichord.

This event runs on the last Tuesday of every month.

World AIDS Day Red Run

About: The World AIDS Day Red Run is a 10k or 5k charity run through leafy Victoria Park, East London to support 40 essential HIV charities across the UK.  

The day is full of entertainment as Drag girl band superstars DENIM take centre stage as the Red Run Mistresses of Ceremonies and inspirational coach Madam Storm will send the runners of with her inimitable Power Strut.  Before and during the run, legendary DJs Horse Meat Disco will keep everyone uplifted with plenty of tunes.

Shifting Times Exhibition

About: Shifting Times by UK-based duo, Kai & Sunny, showcases their uniquely distinguishable compositions of acrylic paintings and archival ballpoint pen works.  

The exhibition focuses on two concepts; flowing landscapes and sharp-edged geometrics so there is something for everyone, and will be their 5th solo gallery show to date.

Write for Rights

About: Write for Rights is an annual Amnesty International campaign, there will be seasonal cards provided for you to write messages of support to some of the most incredibly brave people in the world.  

This year the theme is Women Defending Humanity, head on down for a night of letter writing, seasonal solidarity and some beer or wine from the Cafe.

The Record Deck

Aladdin Panto

Where: Hackney Empire, 291 Mare St, E8 1EJ

Costs: £10- £42

About: This much-loved panto has been run for a whopping two decades with Susie McKenna and Steve Edis at the helm. The performance is adorned with handpainted backdrops, pop songs, a diverse cast and lots of rude jokes.  

After a couple of years away, the briliant Dame Clive Rowe is confirmed to return for this year’s run and will star alongside telly comedian Temeka Empson of Eastenders and 3 Non Blondes.

Christmas Light Switch On

About: Popular grime duo Krept and Konan will be turning on the Christmas lights at Boxpark Croydon, marking the beginning of the festive season. The night is set to provide for all with street food vendors; Coqfighter, Kubo, Fish and Wings and Tings, turning out in force to serve up treats throughout the evening.

Boxpark Croydon will be providing even more festive cheer throughout the season with Christmas movie screenings, a Made in Croydon craft market, a wreath making workshop, DJ nights and parties.
