The Metropolitan Police has named the pedestrian who died after a fatal car crash in Tower Hamlets last month as Charlotte Kenning.
Kenning, 26, from Goole in Humberside, was struck down by a red Vauxhall Astra on Limeharbour near Crossharbour DLR station on Saturday, May 25.
Tower Hamlets police were called to the scene of the collision shortly before midnight, along with the London Ambulance Service. The driver of the car remained at the scene; there have been no arrests.
Kenning was treated on the spot for “a number of injuries”, before being taken to hospital. She was pronounced dead the following day.
Kenning’s father said: “Charlotte was the loveliest, most beautiful and kindest person you could ever wish to know. She will be sadly missed and was much loved by everyone who knew her.”
