Canadian actor Sandra Oh has been spotted filming on Croydon’s George Street, reprising her role as Eve Polastri on Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s hit show ‘Killing Eve’.
She appears to be with Kim Bodnia, who plays Konstantin in the show.
No release date has been set for the upcoming third season but fans have been speculating as to the show’s future direction.
Eve appeared to be shot dead by Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer, in the last episode of the second season.
It is possible that the new footage will be a dream-sequence or flash-back; but fans will hope that Oh is wholly returning to her award-winning role.
Either way, Croydonites will watch the show’s new season with particular excitement, keeping an eagle-eye out for their borough.
Alongside them, members of the cast for the new season include Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy from ‘Game of Thrones’) and Predrag Bjelac (Igor Karkaroff from ‘Harry Potter’).
What is known is that Phoebe Waller-Bridge – known also for her success with one-woman theatre production and hit television series ‘Fleabag‘ – will return in her role as executive producer.
Yesterday, Waller-Bridge was announced as a Golden Globe nominee for the Best Actress in a TV Series (Musical or Comedy), for ‘Fleabag’.
She is yet to win a major individual award for ‘Killing Eve’, but the show has nonetheless collected many accolades.
It will be represented at the Golden Globes as well, where Jodie Comer will be up for the Best Actress in a TV Series (Drama) for her role as Villanelle and the show is in contention for Best TV Series (Drama).
The series is based on Luke Jennings’ ‘Codename Villanelle’ novels and series three will be shown on BBC One when it is released; but may be available in whole on BBC iPlayer, as the last season was. The show will be aired in the USA before the UK, as it is a BBC America production.
A spokesperson from the BBC told Eastlondonlines: “We won’t be giving any details at this time.”
