Crystal Palace are currently in ninth place in the Premier League. They are using the current transfer window to rearrange their cards. South London team have signed the Turkish player Cenk Tosun from Everton. He will be on loan until the end of this season.
Crystal Palace hope the 28 year old striker will increase their goal scoring efficiency. Tosun hopes this move will give him the chance to play more as he bids to win his place back in Turkey’s national squad ahead of the Euro 2020 this summer.
Tosun joined Everton from the Turkish side, Besiktas, two years ago. Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson, speaking immediately after the signing said: “He is in contention to be in the squad. I’m very grateful to Everton and Crystal Palace for getting that done so quickly to make him available because we still have eight players unavailable and that’s a lot of players not to be able to even consider.”
Camarasa returns to Spain
Palace have also announced the loan agreement for Victor Camarasa has ended and he has returned to Spain.
The central midfielder joined Crystal Palace six months ago on a season long loan, but he only played twice.
Palace have 29 points in the Premier League. They are hoping to qualify for the Europa League.
