Tower Hamlets Council, together with Minority Financial Inclusion, are marking Black History Month by organising a series of events for unpaid carers in the borough.

The organisers aim to energise and enlighten, as well as be a spur for isolated carers and those lacking confidence to socialise.

Award-winning African Culture and Dance Troupe ADANTA is introducing carers to African cultural heritage and the art of dance and drumming. Carers will learn several new movements and exercises and the history behind them.

The events are free to attend and take place at the Carers Centre in Stepney Green every Wednesday throughout October. Sessions are one hour long from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm.
