Police are appealing for more witnesses to come forward following a murder in Downham earlier this month.
Detectives investigating the death of Gabriel Petrov Stoyanov, who was stabbed on Bromley Road on November 4, are looking for anyone who saw “Gabriel, his friend, and the group of suspects, on the bus”.
Three teenagers have already appeared in Court charged with Stoyanov’s murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen said: “We still need to hear from people who witnessed the stabbing and the events leading up to it.”
Stoyanov and his friend, who has not been named, boarded a Route 181 bus to Grove Park at bus stop LH on Southend Lane at 23:05.
At 23:06, the three suspects boarded the same bus at stop LK on Southend Lane.
Stoyanov, his friend, and the suspects met on Bromley Road where Stoyanov was subsequently attacked shortly before midnight.
Allen added: “Any information you have, no matter how insignificant it might seem, could help our investigation.”
In an earlier statement released by the Met police, Stoyanov’s mother Mariana said: “We are devastated by his unnecessary loss, just when his life as a bright, passionate, and motivated adult was beginning.”
