Continue the International Women’s Day celebrations with this feminist arts night featuring local artists: Lateisha Davine Lovelace-Hanson, Antonia Jade King, and Marianella Lopez & Mad Pirvan. Guests can sign up for five-minute spots to perform in their chosen art form, or they can just enjoy the show! The event is open to all but is intended as a platform for women and non-binary people. Enjoy a night featuring film, poetry and performance.

Women of Abney + Cast & Crew Q&A

New film; Women of Abney, will be shown on the big screen at Rio Cinema this weekend. The film draws on real-life stories of 113 women from Hackney’s history and among them are poets, medical pioneers and the first female balloonist. The screening will be followed by a cast and crew q&a and an opportunity to use the venue’s bar & cafe. Women of Abney is a collaboration from The Hackney Society, Tower Theatre and Abney Park.
