Lewisham Metropolitan Police have released a picture of a man who they think is connected to a violent robbery that took place in December 2022.

On the morning of December 10, the victim got off a bus in Rushey Green, when an unknown man hit him over the head repeatedly with a metal pole. The victim, in their early 20s, had his bag stolen and the suspect walked away and got on a bus right after the attack.  

The victim was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Upon arriving at the hospital, a CT scan showed that he was suffering from bleeding in the brain.  

Detectives have now released a picture they think has a connection to the robbery. 

Detective Sergeant Laura Warden said: “This was an extremely violent robbery, which left the victim fighting for his life. We are determined to bring the person responsible for this heinous crime to justice.”
