From stressful commutes to rising bills, Londoners are more stressed than ever. To mark Stress Awareness month this April, Eastlondonlines takes a deep dive into the causes of stress – and goes in search of the best local stress-busting advice and activities.

Recent Government data identifies the three main causes of stress: loneliness, money worries, and work. The data also shows that stress seems to unite the generations, affecting people of all ages, with only 10 per cent of the population feeling totally satisfied in their lives. Over the next three days, Eastlondonlines will speak to local people of all ages as they navigate their way through this stressful time.

But we don’t stop there. Our primary focus is not on the problem, which is sadly familiar to most of us, but on solutions. From laughter yoga to choral singing, from revitalising your sex life to simply looking at art, we have something for everyone.
