Man accused of murder in Lewisham after alleged stab victim died in hospital

A man has appeared in court accused of murdering a 21-year-old man, who died over a year after a street attack in Lewisham.

Joshua Erorh, 21, is accused of stabbing Ahmed Torfi twice in the chest on March 14, 2020, in New Cross, south London.

The alleged victim remained in critical condition and later died on June 12, 2021.

Erorh appeared via video link from Isis prison, south London on October 11, 2023.

During the proceedings, Judge Sarah Munro KC set a plea hearing for December 4.

A provisional two-week trial was set for September 23, 2024.

The defendant, who only spoke to confirm his identity, was remanded into custody.
