Met Police revealed 34-year-old Justin Henry was last seen in Croydon on October 15- before being reported missing the next day.
Henry was seen buying food from McDonalds in London Road, Croydon on CCTV at around 10 pm.
On an appeal for information, Met Police stated that Henry drove from McDonalds to another location in Croydon in his car – where the vehicle remained stationary for around two and a half hours.
The silver Mercedes was later found on Kingswood Drive, SE19.
The driver’s identity, when the vehicle arrived at Kingswood Drive, is unknown due to the CCTV image being unclear. Henry’s family say it wasn’t him.
His family said that they hadn’t heard from Henry since the night he went missing and that this was out of character.
The active missing person investigation is being led by detectives from the Met’s South East branch, with Specialist Crime unit providing additional support since October 18.
Detective Chief Inspector Mat Coop said: “My concern that Justin has come to harm is, sadly, increasing every day.”
Coop, from Met South East Criminal Investigation Department, added that they are appealing to the public for assistance.
“I need to hear from anyone who may have seen Justin over the past week. We are particularly interested in any information about Justin’s movements after leaving McDonald’s last Sunday night [on October 15].”
An unidentified person was arrested in connection to the investigation, who was later released on bail.
