Detectives are appealing to the public for help in finding a woman connected with a verbal and physical assault on a man this past Sunday.
According to the police report, a man was walking along Homerton High Street around 5:15 am October 27, before he was verbally abused and “seriously assaulted” with a glass bottle by a woman who has not yet been identified. She then left the scene.
The assault left the victim with serious injuries to his face, for which he went to the hospital.
Though the investigation is in the early stages, the incident is currently being treated as a hate crime, and enquiries are ongoing.
No arrests have yet been made.
Earlier today, detectives released a picture of a woman who they would like to speak to in connection to the investigation.

The police said that anyone who recognises her or has any information that will assist the investigation into the incident should call 101 or message @MetCC on X and quote CAD 1890/27Oct.
