Police have launched a murder enquiry after a teenage boy died from stab wounds on Homerton High Street last night.
Officers and paramedics were called to the scene around 11:40pm, after the boy was found with injuries.
London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance made resuscitation attempts, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The boy has not yet been identified, but is believed to be in his mid-teens.
Twitter users said that emergency services remained at the scene until the early hours of the morning.

Ponsford Street, which was closed for forensic investigations, has since been reopened.
A police spokesperson said: “There have been no arrests made yet but enquiries continue.”
