Guillemots at Hackney House

Touting itself as a the coolest pop-up event of the Olympics season, Hackney House in Shoreditch is hosting a live comedy or music gig and dj set every night of the Olympics and it’s all free. Simply register online for tickets to see Guillemots on Saturday 4th August or if you’re lucky you might get a ticket to see Little Boots on Sunday 12th August.

Showtime Festival

The Mayor of London Showtime festival comes to Hackney Town Hall for a free day of fantastic outdoor performances featuring some of the best UK and international artists.

Lewisham Skyride

One of several Sky Ride Local events, join this leisurely 6.6 mile ride through Lewisham parks.  A fun-filled free ride for of all ages and abilities, it’s estimated to take one hour and 35 minutes with an average speed of 7-8 mph.

Don’t worry if you’ve not been on a bike for a while, friendly and experienced ride leaders are there to help and support you.

Places must be booked in advance, so find out more information or book a place.

Floating Market in Mile End Park

Bringing the feel of South East Asia to Regent’s Canal, this free floating market will sell everything from hats to books from barges and narrow boats.
