The Christmas African Market

Hosted by African cultural organisation Open the Gate in Dalston’s Gillet Square, The African Market is a unique alternative to your standard Christmas Fair. Prepare for African designers, drumming demonstrations, facing painting and glitter tattoos.
Christmas Craft Fair
Sunday December 15, 12pm – 4.30pm
Hackney’s City Farm hosts its annual Christmas Craft Fair. Be inspired to get hands on with your gifts, and make merry with an abundance of mulled wine.
A Celebration for Christmas Gift Day
Saturday December 14, 12pm – 5pm
Held in Stoke Newington, this free event is for the whole community to make sure everybody’s ready for Christmas. There will be arts and crafts, handmade decorations and gifts and a raffle.
Deptford Wives Vintage Christmas & Craft Market
Sunday December 15, 10.30am – 4pm
The Albany Centre and Theatre plays host to the Deptford Wives Christmas market with a selection of handcrafted gifts and decorations on sale.
Sydenham Gardens Christmas Fair
December 10 - 12, 3pm – 5.30pm
Held at Sydenham Garden Resource Centre, the Christmas fair will have crafts, Santa’s Grotto, raffles, presents and all sorts of homemade Christmas treats.
Ladywell Christmas Market
Saturday December 14, 11am – 4pm
The Ladywell Christmas Market will take over the newly widened pavement, to offer Christmas arts and crafts and plenty of festive food.
Sunday December 15, 10am – 4pm
Carol singers, Father Christmas and the famous Sydenham Christmas Tree will all be at Station Approach this weekend. This is on top of a tasty spread for foodies, and a host of creative gift ideas.
December 14-21, 9am – 4pm
Bow’s Roman Road will support local traders Christmas gift stalls, festive food, a Nativity scene and a visit from Father Christmas himself.
Croydon’s Surrey Street is holding a Christmas market selling all sorts of special fresh, festive food just in time for the holidays. Fresh fruit and vegetables will be available and local, independent traders will sell delicious fish and meat.
Local people can also set up their own stall for £25.00 per day.
