Police appeal after violent bus driver assault

Officers from Metropolitan Police Roads and Transport Policing Command have issued images of a man who is suspected to have seriously assaulted a bus driver in Croydon.

The assault happened on April 16 at01.40am on College Road, Croydon, whilst the driver was parked in front of Croydon College.

The driver was checking the top deck of the number 75 bus whilst not in service when he heard the doors opening. When he came down to check who had opened the door he saw the man inside the bus.

The man attacked the driver and subjected him to become a victim of a violent assault.

The driver was taken to Croydon University Hospital for treatment. He had a large cut on his forehead, with bruising to his face and chin.
