Police were called to the scene at Monteagle Way on the Nightingale Estate in Hackney just after 12am this morning.

Local resident Karam Filfilan told East London Lines: “I was woken up at 12:30am by flashing blue lights that were blocking off access to Rendlesham Road from the corner of Kenninghall Road. At around 2am, three officers in white hazmat suits began sweeping the road with torches.”

The incident shortly follows the stabbing of a 21-year-old man on Amhurst Road in Hackney on November 6.

The Mayor of Hackney Philip Glanville took to Twitter this morning.

Aslan moved to the United Kingdom from Turkey 15 years ago with his family and worked as an Deliveroo driver to fund his college education. He attended Hackney Community College.

A 25-year-old was arrested in connection with the murder but was later released by police.
