The Crystal Palace Overground Festival 2013 will bring back its roar this Thursday, now running for the 7th year.

Thousands of people are expected to flock to Westow Park for long hours of live music, poetry, film screenings, comedy, sports, kids activities and lots more to keep all ages content.

Kicking off with a pre-festival warm up gig at the Gypsy Hill Tavern on Wednesday, the four-day long festival will feature events from local community groups, nearby venues and music artists.

However, Crystal Palace Festival is not just for adults as there will be plenty of activities and pastimes for kids. For example, the local football club Crystal Palace FC is offering exclusive coaching classes for budding footballers.

The festival was launched in 2007 by the Crystal Palace Triangle traders and has gone from strength to strength after its expansion to Westow Park three years ago.

Festival organisers hope to attract over 6,000 people, up 20 per cent on last year.
