An MA in Television Journalism student at Goldsmiths has organised his own private Santa operation to help local homeless people. Mansoor Ahmad decided to undertake the task not long after beginning his course in September, by saving 50p a day. The proceeds soon mounted up and once he had collected over £300  he began buying food and other necessities to pack into parcels.

In the final week of term he delivered over 30 parcels around south London.  When his fellow students found out what their classmate had been up to, they were moved to make a film about him for their weekly ELL+ TV Newsday, shown via @eastlondonlines
