Man taken to hospital after crash in Lee High Road

A man was rushed to hospital on Monday evening following a crash involving a car and a bus in Lee.

The incident occurred just before 4:15pm on October 31 along the A20 at Lee High Road, which was then closed going both ways from B220 Belmont Hill to Clarendon Rise, causing queues of traffic towards New Cross.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at 4:12pm on Monday, October 31 to reports of a collision involving a bus and a car in High Street, Lewisham.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade. The driver of the car was taken to hospital. His condition was assessed as not life threatening.

“The bus stopped at the scene. There were no arrests and officers arranged for the vehicles to be recovered.”
