Hackney shooting: Police appeal for witnesses and footage

Detectives are seeking witnesses and anyone who has footage after a shooting in London Fields, Hackney.

A member of the public reported hearing gunshots in Grand Union Crescent, London Fields at 17:39 on Sunday February 5.

 Officers responded to the scene and found no injuries.

According to initial inquiries, three suspects riding pedal bikes were responsible for the shooting.

One of the suspects was wearing a Deliveroo-branded jacket, according to CCTV footage.


A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “During the incident, we are certain that members of the public were on the street and vehicles were nearby. Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw or heard anything suspicious around that time is encouraged to contact the police immediately.”

During the shooting, police are investigating vehicles that drove in the area and dashcam footage that could have been obtained.

The police are urging anyone who may have information about the crimes to share it, no matter how irrelevant it may seem.
