The drag community are joining counter-protests against right-wing groups who have taken issue with drag ‘story time’ events for children, which have been taking place in London. In recent weeks, the right-wing group Turning Point UK has protested these events, most recently at Honor Oak pub in Lewisham and The Exhibitionist in Southwark. Eastlondonlines was at the protests, reporting on the turnout and speaking to residents and protestors. Imogen Adam interviews Croydon-based drag performer, Claudia F, about the rising tensions between the drag community and right-wing organisations.
