Two teenagers have been charged with attempted murder in connection with a firearms and stabbing incident at Hackney Central station last week.
The two 16-year-olds males who cannot be identified because of their age appeared at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Monday.
They were remanded in custody after Met Police officers conducted a planned stop on a car in Essex Road, Islington, last Friday.
After the incident last Wednesday, a 20-year-old man was found with stab wounds and a single bullet wound.
He has not been named by police but remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
A Section 60 stop and search authority was issued for the entire borough by the Met Police following the attack and the station remained closed for more than seven hours.
The pair will remain in custody until their next court appearance, which has not yet been scheduled.
